My Christian faith is for me self-evident. I need no reasons for my faith, any more than the obvious fact that I live. My faith goes on in knowing this. Therefore, I can offer to the question, "Why do I believe?" no fundamental answer. I can only mention some aspects that fit the particular conversation. I believe in Jesus Christ in all of its revelation, because it offers a joyful overall view, which I do not see any alternative. I believe in Jesus Christ, as taught by the Catholic Church. Only she has the whole truth. This I found always confirmed in my life. I hope that everyone has faith in Jesus Christ, because only through him can there be a good, meaningful life and ultimately eternal happiness with God.
