Dear Nils thanks for your personal interpretation of the ad, which I respect, like any other, but do not share. A young priest with enough inner life, faced with a situation like the ad, he knows he has to have the wisdom to fight more far away from the temptation that what you see in those scenes. I think that any other interpretation of those events in sentimental key, is not realistic and can be misleading.

From other side, of course the producer of the ad is looking for this sentimentalism, but this is one other business, it is to sell Coke. Here it is supposed to deal about inner growing.

Yup, the video explains itself...

Dear Mayra,
thank you for your dedication for our faith. I believe this is an misunderstanding. We don't think this commercial mocks the celibacy. We rather think it made a positive statement about the priestly vow of chastity. At the beginning of the commercial one expects a typical “girl gets boy” commercial. But then then the viewer sees the collar and knows: he is a priest, the girl will never get him. We think this is a funny way to remind us of the reality of celibate priest in our church.

To avoid confusion I would like to clarify what I meant in my opinion posted before: I am sure that our Holy Father and the Holy See would NOT find this commercial hilarious and would NOT by any means approve it. Mocking the celibacy of a priest is not funny nor hilarious. It is to be taken seriously. The Catholic Church does not need these so-called commercials. I do not feel this site is the place to study our Church's doctrine with this example of "fun doctrine". Maybe youth should just go to the official Vatican site and study The Catechism of the Catholic Church there.

The celibacy of a priest is a gift from God. Must I suppose this is not mentioned in YouCat? It is no laughing matter. I find this "commercial" offensive and should be removed at once. If the purpose of YouCat is to teach youth the Catechism of the Catholic Church, why on earth does YouCat find this hilarious? I am sure the Holy Father nor the Holy See would approve this "commercial." I am convinced once again that YouCat cannot be an official document of the Catholic Church.
